On 29 March 2017, a kick off meeting and opening conference of the INTERREG V-A Lithuania-Poland Programme project Lithuania-Poland cooperation platforms supporting newly established Business and promoting Entrepreneurship took place at Alytaus Kolegija University of Applied sciences. The institution welcomed the project partner representatives from Kaunas University of Technology (project coordinator), Bialystok University of Technology, Science and Technology Park Poland-East in Suwalki, Tauragė District Municipality administration and Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts as well as Alytus college social partners, Alytus city/region startup entrepreneurs, representatives of business support organizations, principals of secondary schools, representatives responsible for entrepreneuship education of students and successful entrepreneurs in business development of Alytus region. It presented the official start of Interreg project and an opportunity for the partners to meet for the firs time and plan the activities that will be completed together during the project.
A guest speaker, KTU Startup Space member Paulius Paškevičius, the establisher of Solid education. It which provides an online platform for programming courses, introduced a successfully established business formula, shared his experience and encouraged the participants to take the first step towards personal business as soon as possible.
Through this event, project partners and local stakeholders had an opportunity to reflect upon approaches and strategies, and start an exchange process of experience.
